Register before the first contact
The referral must be registered by email at contact@sorvek.com before Sorvek makes any contact with the organization. The organization must not be a customer or already in discussions with Sorvek or a partner. The first registration takes precedence.
Commission and deadlines
The commission is paid once: 10% of the pre-tax value of the first year of the contract. It is paid 30 days after the customer’s first payment, once the cancellation period has elapsed. The contract must be signed within 180 days of registration.
Excluded referrals
Self-referrals and accounts already handled by Sorvek or a partner are excluded from the program.
Inform your employer or client
If you are an employee of the referred organization or its advisor, you must inform your employer or client in writing about the planned commission before making the referral. Without this prior written disclosure, no commission is paid.
This rule aims to prevent secret commissions addressed by section 426 of the Criminal Code. It does not, by itself, guarantee that your referral complies with the law.
Follow the rules on solicitation
Mass solicitation on behalf of Sorvek is prohibited. Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation applies: even an individual message may be covered. Follow applicable consent, identification and unsubscribe requirements. A referral does not automatically authorize solicitation.
Reporting, invoicing and currency
The referrer reports their commissions. A referring business invoices Sorvek with applicable taxes. Payment is made in Canadian dollars (CAD).
Refusal and program changes
Sorvek may refuse a referral or change the program with 30 days’ notice. Referrals already registered retain the terms in effect when they were registered.
Governing law
The program is governed by Québec law.
Program privacy
The referrer’s name and email and the referred person’s name and email are used to manage the program: register the referral, check eligibility, communicate about it and process the commission. Their use is limited to this program. Inform the referred person of this process before sharing their contact details.
If no contract is signed within 180 days of registration, the referral is closed and information that is no longer needed is deleted. It may be closed earlier if it is refused or abandoned.
When required by law, only the information used to make a decision about a person is retained for one year after that decision.
Accounting records needed for commissions are generally retained for six years after the end of the last tax year to which they relate. This period does not automatically apply to all correspondence or to the referred person’s contact details.
Additional retention applies only when a legal obligation or litigation requires it.
These closure and deletion rules must be applied in Sorvek’s email system. This site opens an email draft and does not create any automatic deletion process.
